Cooking- and "sous-vide" applications

For products that will be pasteurized, filled hot, or which are suited for the sous vide* cooking method, the VACUshrink CP60 (shrink bag) and VACUpouch CP90 (vacuum pouch), VACUflex Crystal HB (PP/PA-EVOH-PA/PE) lidding thermoforming films are well suited.  

These high barrier co-extrusion blown films have the following properties:

  • EVOH barrier
  • Heat resistance
  • High transparency and gloss
  • Good puncture resistance
  • High shrink properties of over 45% (VACUshrink CP60)
  • Material downgauging (VACUflex) 

*The sous vide cooking method allows gentle cooking of meat, fish, vegetables or fruit at low temperatures in a vacuum pouch.  For this trendy cooking method, Vacufol GmbH specifically designed the VACUpouch CP90 (sous vide vacuum pouch) and VACUflex Crystal HB (sous vide thermoforming films).
